The Shorewood Police Department received numerous complaints of entries to unlocked vehicles overnight Thursday into Friday (1/14-1/15). All of these vehicles were unlocked. The Whitefish Bay Police Department also took several entries to unlocked vehicles as well as a stolen vehicle report. It is believed that the stolen vehicle was unlocked and contained a spare key. Please remember to secure your property and never leave spare keys in vehicles. Also, please remember to NEVER leave your vehicle unattended and warming up unless you have a removable key fob which keeps your transmission secure. The City of Milwaukee is reporting several vehicle thefts stemming from this practice. Please do your part to reduce crime in Shorewood.
