Advisory

Suspicious Vehicle caught on security video, picture included (1/13/16)

On 1/13/16 a white van pulled down the driveway of a residence on Amos Tuck Rd. When the occupants of the vehicle saw the homeowner looking out the window the van attempted to turn around in the driveway and got stuck. No one exited the vehicle at any point. The homeowner was able to capture images of the van on their home security system. The residents where not expecting anyone and didn’t recognize the van prompting the report to us.

Reports of a van matching that description were connected to possible suspicious activity in Exeter last week. If you see a vehicle matching the description of the one in the included picture please call the Kensington Police immediately at 772-2929 or dialing 911. Please don’t attempt to make contact with the occupants but gathering information like a license plate and the direction you see them leaving in is extremely valuable information to us.

It is possible they are soliciting door to door to sell meat. I want to take this opportunity to again remind everyone that unpermitted soliciting in Kensington is prohibited. We take the process of enforcing this ordinance and vetting potential venders seriously as it is a means for us to protect residents from illegitimate businesses and other criminal activity.

Stay warm!
