Ephrata, Wash (03JAN2016): January 3rd remains a somber anniversary for the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, as well fellow law enforcement and first responders, who remember it as the day we lost Deputy John Bernard in a one vehicle accident now six years ago today.
Sheriff Tom Jones said, “The Grant County Sheriff’s Office would like take this time to assure his family, friends, and everyone who supported them during the period following his tragic loss, that we will always keep the memories of Deputy John Bernard, his commitment to his watch and community, held in high regard as well as close to our badges and hearts.”
A Fallen Officers Memorial in the lobby of the Law and Justice Building in Ephrata bears a cast bronze plaque in memory of Deputy John Bernard.
