Grain Elevator Fire in Wilson Creek Under Control.

GRANT COUNTY, Wash. (02JAN2016) – In follow up to the earlier report of a grain elevator fire on the Burlington Santa Fe line in Wilson Creek, Grant County Fire District 13 is reporting that it is now under control, although still expected to burn for a while. There were no injuries. Two wood grain elevators appear to be a total loss. The cause of the fire is undetermined pending an investigation.

The Grant County Fire Marshall is on scene as well as Grant County Fire District 13, City of Ephrata, Grant County PUD, Grant County Fire District 5, Wilson Creek Public Works, in addition to Grant County Sheriff’s Office.

While there are no road or rail line closures, the community is asked to please continue to avoid the area until the fire is completely out.
