Advisory

Property recovered during arrest of 3 adults for burglary. Victims sought.

On Sunday, December 27, 2015, at approximately 0812 hours, Signal Hill police officers arrested two adult females and one adult male for burglarizing a vacant home in the 1500 block of E. 23rd Street (DR#15-3498).  During their investigation, they discovered plastic shopping bags filled with opened mail, sealed mail, miscellaneous credit cards, gift cards and electronics, such as cell phones, speaker boxes, and various cords for charging the electronic devices, clothes, camping gear, skateboards, bicycles, check books, wallets, driver licenses, and U.S. currency and coins, inside the vacant home.  In addition, 15 garage door openers and at least 10 sets of keys were recovered.  Based on identifying information and recent crime reports, officers have been able to locate several victims who live in the area and return their property to them.  We continue to seek victims that may be involved.  If you live in the surrounding area of the 1500 block of E. 23rd Street and if you have been a recent victim of a theft related crime, especially a residential or vehicular burglary, please contact the Signal Hill Police Department.  If you have already reported the incident and are missing items as described above, please contact us to inquire about your property.  As a reminder, please remember to close your windows, secure your homes, and lock your vehicles, even when parked inside a garage.  Do not leave any valuables inside your vehicles!
