Snow Emergencies are in place this evening throughout Wood County municipalities.
Due to the 1st Winter Storm of the season Snow Emergencies have been declared in the cities of Wisconsin Rapids, Nekoosa and Marshfield as well as the Town of Grand Rapids.
This means there is NO ON STREET PARKING during the snow emergency.
Grand Rapids Snow Emergency 12/28 beginning at 3pm and effective until 12/29 at 6pm.
Wisconsin Rapids Snow Emergency 12/28 at 8pm until 12/29 at 12pm.
At this time, we do not have the effective hours of snow emergency in Marshfield, it is recommended that you do not park on the streets.
***Update***** Nekoosa has a snow emergency in place on 12/28 at 6pm until 12/29 at 8am.
You can also expect snow emergencies in all other municipalities in Wood County. Again, this means NO ON STREET PARKING, regardless of day or night hours.
