Beware of vehicle collision scams.

It has been reported by a Beverly Hills citizen that she was the victim of a vehicle collision scam. The victim stated the female suspect contacted her in traffic and told her she had struck her vehicle, pointing to a scratch or other damage to the vehicle. Once curbside, the suspect tells a very convincing story about her mother dying and the associated financial difficulties. The victim felt she had never struck the suspect’s car, however, paid the suspect $300.00 to settle the issue outside of contacting her insurance company. She later learned through social media this scam was occurring in parts of Los Angeles.
