Scam involving deeds and other public records. Special attention new home buyers or refinancers. 
To All Sanbornton Residents:
There is a scam being circulated from a California company charging a moderate sum of money to provide Residential Legal documents (Deeds, Titles, Mortgages, etc.) relevant to properties. It appears
that this scam targets new owners following sales, probably by obtaining publicly available sales information.
Please be advised that any relevant property information as mentioned above can be purchased for a minimal fee from the Belknap County Registry of Deeds ($1 per page) and in some cases may be obtained for free from the Assessing Department of the Town of Sanbornton.
