On 12-21-15, Isothermal Community College School Resource Officer, Cpl. Robert Owens was looking out for a vehicle which Forest City Police Department was looking for in reference to an incident at the State Employee Credit Union on Withrow Road.
Cpl. Owens spotted the vehicle on Daniel Road and turned around on the vehicle. The vehicle sped away and turned onto Hwy 74 toward Oakland Road.
Officers with the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Interdiction Team located the vehicle behind the old Murray’s TV and Appliance in Spindale.
Ann Marie Clark who gave an address out of Deerfield Beach, Florida was charged with Larceny of a license plate; Fail to stop-steady light, (2) counts Flee/Elude Arrest, Drive left of Center, Reckless Driving to Endanger, Fail Stop Stop Sign/Flashing Red Light. Bond was set at $6,000.00 secured.
Clark was also charged by Forest City Police Department, with Forgery of Endorsement.
Cpl. Owens was assisted by officers from Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office, Spindale Police Department and Forest City Police Departments.
