First Sergeant Bryan Harper is Promoted to Lieutenant

Lafayette: Today the Indiana State Police Superintendent Doug Carter announced the promotion of First Sergeant Bryan Harper to the rank of Lieutenant where he will serve as Indiana Intelligence Fusion Center Commander. Lieutenant Harper was selected after competing in a stringent written and oral interview process. In this new capacity, Harper's primary responsibility is to manage the Indiana Intelligence Fusion Center, including the coordination of sophisticated threat assessment activities and coordination of criminal intelligence with local, state, and federal partner agencies.
A graduate of Oak Hill High School in Miami County, Harper went on to Indiana State University and received a degree in Political Science. In 1999 he graduated from the Indiana State Police Academy and was assigned to the Toll Road. In 2006, he received a lateral promotion and was transferred to the Lafayette State Police Post and worked as a detective till his promotion in 2010 to Sergeant in charge of the detective division at the Lafayette Post.  In 2014, he was promoted to First Sergeant where he served as District Investigative commander.  His duties were to oversee all criminal investigations at the district and supervise all investigative personnel at the post.  
Lieutenant Harper lives in Tippecanoe County with his family.
