As of 2:50pm San Ramon Valley Boulevard has been reopened to traffic. 
UPDATE: As of 2:50 pm, PG&E has sealed the gas leak caused earlier today. Traffic has begun moving on San Ramon Valley Boulevard.
Motorists are advised that San Ramon Valley Boulevard has been closed in both directions between Elworthy Ranch Rd and Jewel Terrace due to a gas leak.
Shortly before 11:30 am, a contractor working just south of Jewel Terrace and accidentally ruptured a gas pipe. PG&E, Danville Police and the San Ramon Fire Protection District are on scene.
Once the leak is closed off, the road will partially reopen. At this time, estimated time of reopening the road could be after 3pm.
Motorists heading south on San Ramon Valley Boulevard should take Sycamore Valley Road over to Camino Ramon to avoid the closure. Traffic going north should exit the boulevard at Greenbrook Drive to Camino Ramon.
