Advisory

The Norton Shores Police is investigating another suspicious occurrence involving a white mini van.

Suspicious Vehicle:

Investigators from the Norton Shores Police Department interviewed a 12 yr old female student from the Mona Shores School district regarding a suspicious vehicle possibly related to the previous attempted abduction on 12/8/2015. The incident occurred at the corner of Wickham and Columbus in the City of Norton Shores yesterday 12/10/2015 at 2:50 p.m. while she was walking home from school.

The student reported that a subject was following her in a white minivan very slowly while walking home from school. The student advised the van was very close behind her and when she turned around the occupant of the van motioned from inside the van for her to come back towards the van. The student immediately took off running to her residence. The incident was reported at 6:40PM.

The van was reported to be a white minivan with rust on the hood. The student was unable to see into the van other than an arm motioning for her to come towards the van. She was unable to give a description of the driver. Anyone with information or similar sightings is encouraged to call the police department immediately and if possible obtain a license plate number.
