Cass County Sheriff Joseph M Underwood Jr is reporting his deputies responded to a Breaking and Entering in progress in the 55000 block of Garret Rd in Silver Creek Twp on 12/8/15 at 2328 hours. The homeowners called in on 911 after they found a subject inside of their pole barn. The homeowners restrained the subject until Officers from the Cass County Sheriff's Office arrived on scene. The Officers took the subject into custody after a brief struggle and lodged him in the Cass County Jail. The suspect was a 39-year-old white male that was charged with B&E, Assault and Battery, and Larceny. The subjects name is being with held at this time until he is arraigned in 4th District Court on the charges. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by the Dowagiac Police Department.
