In the past few weeks, the Lockport Police Department has seen an increase in burglaries to motor vehicles in several areas of the City.  The burglaries have primarily been taking place in the overnight hours.  These vehicles have been left outside with valuables inside.  Some have been locked, while others have been left unlocked.

Residents are reminded to lock their vehicles and to remove any valuable items from their vehicles if they will be leaving their vehicles outside overnight.  Residents are also encouraged to call 911 if they see anyone who is acting suspiciously in their neighborhood.
