Today, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol Dive Team recovered a body from Dow Lake near Haileyville. OSBI agents and other investigators focused on that area after witnesses provided information a missing person might be found there. A missing person report was made to the Pittsburg County Sheriff’s Office last week. The sheriff requested OSBI assistance Monday. Even though investigators are working with a possible name for the victim, agents want to make a positive identification through fingerprints before his name is released. Agents are working this case as a possible homicide. The medical examiner will determine the manner of death.
