In the last three months eight homes under construction, located in the West Valley Area, were burglarized.
Thieves and burglars will often target homes under construction in the hope of stealing appliances, lights, fixtures, construction materials and tools.
Many times a home is not only a target from the outside but also from within.
If your house is under construction or being remodeled follow these tips.
Be aware of who is working on your home. Know how many people will be inside your home on any given day. Ask questions.
Be aware of what's in your home; appliances, fixtures or misc property Take photos
Be Secure: Lock up or relocate all valuables and documents, as well as any materials and tools. If the home is missing walls fence the property and lock it.
