On November 17th, 2015 at 11:15 pm, a Morgan Hill Officer noticed a vehicle driving around the back portion of the parking lot at Quality Inn located on the 16000 block of Condit Rd. As the Officer got closer to the vehicle he noticed a mechanical violation and conducted a traffic stop. During the stop the officer learned one of the occupants was on probation for robbery. Based on how many people were in the vehicle coupled with the fact one of the individuals was on probation for robbery, the officer radioed for additional officers to respond. Once officers were in place he then ordered each person out one by one. As one of the individuals was exiting the vehicle, the officer heard a metal object strike the ground. The object that fell out of the vehicle was later determined to be a loaded handgun. The driver of the vehicle Joseph Goulart 30 was arrested for driving on a suspended license, passenger Jeannie Olgin 25 was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon and a warrant and passenger Willie Visairo 24, was arrested violation of probation and a felon being in possession of a firearm. All three were later booked into the Santa Clara County Jail for their violations. Passenger Yadira Villarruel 30 was arrested for being in possession of narcotic paraphernalia and later released with a cite from the Morgan Hill Police Department. All of the occupants in the vehicle were from San Jose.
