On Nov. 28th, a report of a phone scam was filed in the 100 block of Moonview Place. The victim was asked to send money through a wire transfer to assist with someone's bond. The wire transfer was requested to be sent out of the country to avoid taxes. The victim was out $400.00 before relizing it was a scam. Please contact your local law enforcement agency before wiring money, purchasing green dot cards or anything similar to response to a phone call from someone claiming you have won the lottery, freinds or family in jail or threats to locking you up.
