Results of the Pendleton Posts's Sobriety Checkpoint
Henry County-In the evening hours of November 25, 2015, fourteen members of the Indiana State Police Pendleton Post conducted a sobriety checkpoint and saturation patrol in New Castle, Henry County.
During the sobriety checkpoint, 113 vehicles went through the checkpoint. Between the sobriety checkpoint and saturation patrol, 25 warnings were issued, 13 for moving violations. One person was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated involving drugs, and a second person was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated involving alcohol.
Additionally there were two misdemeanor arrest's for driving while suspended and there was also two arrest's made for active warrants, with one of those being a felony.
The Indiana State Police remains committed to reducing the number of impaired driving crashes as well as all crashes. Motorists are encouraged to report suspected impaired drivers by calling 911. Give a vehicle description, location, and direction of travel. Never follow an impaired driver.
All Suspects Are Presumed Innocent Until Proven Guilty in a Court of Law.
