On November 25, 2015 at approximately 6:23 PM, officers were dispatched to the 4000 block of Olsen Blvd on a motor vehicle striking a pedestrian collision. Responding officers found that Robert Wayne Laster, WM, 74 of Amarillo had been northbound crossing Olsen Blvd. He walked out in front of a 1999 Ford Crown Victoria driven by Orlando Alejandro Garza, WM, 23 of Amarillo. Laster was taken to a local hospital. He later died of injuries received in the collision. Garza was uninjured. Three other passengers in the Ford were also uninjured. Justice of the Peace Herman has ordered an autopsy. The incident is being investigated by the Traffic investigation squad of the Amarillo Police Dept.
