2015 animal licenses are no longer being sold. Animal licenses for 2016 will begin on December 15th, 2015.

The Sheboygan Police Department will stop issuing 2015 licenses for Dogs and Cats on November 24th, 2015.  Licenses for 2016 will be available for sale on Tuesday, December 15th.

Residents are reminded that City of Sheboygan licenses are required for each dog, cat kept on a property over 5 months in age.  In addition, if there are more than three domestic animals kept on a property, the owner needs to register for an animal fancier permit.

Dog licenses cost $10.00 for a spayed or neutered dog.  If the animal is unaltered, the fee is $15.00.

Cat licenses cost $5.25 for spayed and neutered cats, or $12.25 for unaltered cats.

Animal Fancier Permits are $3.00, except that the fee is waived if the domestic animals are subject to licenses.

In all cases, owners are required to submit a valid rabies vaccination certificate at the time of licensing.

Licenses will be sold at the front desk of the Police Department during regular business hours, Monday thru Friday 7:30 am to 7:00 pm, and Saturday from 7:30 am to 1:00 pm.
