Oakland, CA — On Monday, November 23, 2015, Oakland Police Department Homicide Investigators announced that an arrest had been made in connection with the September 29, 2015 murder of muralist Antonio Ramos.
Today, the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office reviewed the case and has charged Marquise Holloway with murder and multiple counts of robbery.
Holloway was arrested last Friday, November 20, 2015, by U.S. Marshals in Stockton, CA. The Oakland Police Department would like to thank the U.S. Marshals and the FBI for their assistance as we reduce crime together.
BACKGROUND: On September 29, 2015, at about 10:28 AM, Oakland Police officers responded to the 3500 block of West Street to investigate a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located Antonio Ramos, 27, of Emeryville, who had suffered a fatal gunshot wound. Medical personnel responded to the scene and transported Ramos to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
