On November 23, 2015, Los Altos police released a photograph and video surveillance footage of two commercial burglary suspects who were believed to have committed twelve separate burglaries of downtown businesses. Thanks to tips provided by the public, each of the suspects have been identified and arrested. Their names are being withheld due to their juvenile status.

On November 15, 2015 three commercial burglaries were reported at businesses in downtown Los Altos. The suspects entered the businesses in the late night hours by forcing entry through the rear doors leading into the establishments. Once inside, the suspects selected cash and small food items.

On November 20, 2015 eight commercial burglaries and one attempted commercial burglary were reported in downtown Los Altos. The method of entry and items taken were consistent with the previous series of burglaries on November 15, 2015. The Los Altos Police asked for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects by broadcasting the video on local news channels and social media. As a result, investigators received tips that helped them to identify the suspects as a 17 year old male and a 15 year old male.

Los Altos investigators interviewed both suspects and they were issued citations and released to their parental guardians. The case will be referred to the Santa Clara County Juvenile Probation Department.
