Northern York County Regional Police have obtained an arrest warrant for 24-year-old Trev Bowies Jackson in connection with the shots fired at an officer, according to a department press release.
A Northern York police officer stopped Jackson's green 1994 Buick sedan at 10 p.m. Sunday in the parking lot of the Crossroads Shopping Center in Manchester Township for a suspected DUI, according to the release.
The officer, whose name is not currently being released, had Jackson, of 114 E. College Ave. in York City, step out of his sedan after detecting a strong odor of burning marijuana within the car. The officer was attempting to take Jackson into custody when Jackson pulled a handgun from his waist area and fired three shots at the officer.
The officer was not wounded by the gunfire but did sustain facial injuries. He did not require any medical treatment.
Jackson's vehicle was last seen traveling on Heidelberg Avenue toward Susquehanna Trail. He is considered armed and dangerous, and citizens are encouraged to call 911 immediately if they see him.
Jackson, who is described in the release as a 5-foot-7, 170-pound black male wearing blue jeans and a tan hooded jacket, is being charged with criminal attempt homicide, aggravated assault and recklessly endangering another person.

PREVIOUS: A Northern York County Regional Police officer was shot at near the Rita's on Route 30 in Manchester Township Sunday evening, according to Chief Mark Bentzel.
Bentzel said the officer had pulled the car over for a traffic violation when the driver pulled out a gun and fired multiple shots at the officer.
The officer returned fire, and the driver drove off. Bentzel said the shooting was unprompted.
As of 11:15 Sunday night, the police were still looking for the shooter. Bentzel said a name would be released soon.
