A missing Phelan man returns home

MISSING PERSON: John Solis, age 24, of Phelan
SUMMARY:
On Wednesday, November 11, 2015, at approximately 7:45 pm San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Dispatch received a call for a report of a missing adult from a home in the 3800 block of Coyote Road in Phelan.
Deputy Jonathan Barmer responded to the residence and contacted the reporting party who is the mother of the missing person. She reported that her son was in a 6 month program at Set Free in Phelan however he had walked away after only 4 months and his mother had not heard from him.
Deputy Barmer contacted workers at Set Free, checked with local hospitals and also jail facilities but were unable to locate Solis. The investigation revealed that John Solis had contacted law enforcement on November 12 and was taken to a homeless shelter. Follow up at the shelter revealed that Solis had already left the facility.
On November 22, 2015 Solis’ mother once again called to report that he had returned. It was learned that Solis had been in Tijuana for several days however he is now home.
