Wet Weather on the Way
A cold weather system dropping southward out of the Gulf of Alaska will result in widespread light to moderate precipitation across the San Francisco/Monterey Bay Area Tuesday into Wednesday.
Northwesterly winds will increase in wake of the frontal passage on Tuesday and colder temperatures will usher into the region through Wednesday morning. This is when snow levels are expected to fall below 3,000 feet with light snow accumulations possible over the highest peaks across the region.
In addition, this system will coincide with the season's first set of King Tides. Chilly temperatures and dry conditions return by Thanksgiving Day and will likely continue into Friday.
Wondering what to do during a flood event? During a flood, water levels and the rate the water is flowing can quickly change. Remain aware and monitor local radio and television outlets. Avoid flood waters at all costs and evacuate immediately when water starts to rise. Don't wait until it's too late!
