Not every fugitive is captured as a result of a high speed chase, or by sheriff's deputies cornering a suspect into a checkmate position. Sometimes dangerous fugitives are caught by just good diligent police work.

Such was the case this morning around 12am when Clayton County Officers responded to a 911 call in reference to checking for suspicious shots fired in the area. While checking the area, PD officers observed 3 individuals at Silver Spring apartments and stopped them to make sure they were not involved. A investigative check revealed that one of the subjects was Jamison Jeremy Walker who was #9 on Sheriff Victor Hill's top ten most wanted for armed robbery. CCPD delivered Walker to the Clayton County pari-military jail free of charge!

Walker made #9 on the Sheriff Victor Hill's top ten for an armed robbery he committed on December 2, 2014 when he held employees at gunpoint at Cricket Wireless on Hwy 85 in Riverdale taking $2500.00 in cash.

Once again, the Clayton County Police department has done another outstanding job, and they are to be commended for their diligence which resulted in a dangerous felon being removed from our community. The Sheriff personally called Police Chief Mike Register to thank him and his officers for a job well done! We also want to commend the citizen that called the police when they heard shots being fired in the community which proves team work makes the dream work!
