Head on Collision Into Tree Sends One to Hospital


Sheriff Joseph Underwood Jr. reports that Deputies of the Cass County Sheriff's Office responded to the area of M-40 just north of Gooding Street on November 22, 2015 at 2:23pm for a personal injury traffic crash. Investigation showed that a northbound vehicle driven by Malcom Leo Hudson of Marcellus (50 yrs) lost control of his vehicle and had a head on collision into a tree. Malcom was transported to Lakeview Hospital in Paw Paw for injuries sustained in the crash. Alcohol does appear to be a factor in this crash and the driver was wearing his seatbelt. This case remains under investigation. Assisting Deputies at the scene were Marcellus Fire Department and Marcellus Ambulance.
