***College Cricket games at Gonzalez park***

On November 14, 2015, the Compton YAL participated with the American College Cricket organization at Gonzalez Park in the City of Compton. They were excited to see two games played by the USC college cricket team and UCLA college cricket team.  UC Irvine and UC San Diego teams also played an afternoon game. The games coincided with the All-Star Cricket game at the Dodger Stadium that same night.

The YAL children got to experience a competitive game as well against the Sheenway Charter school cricket team on the sidelines.

The President and founder of The American College Cricket organization, Lloyd Jordan was present at the program. We appreciated the work done by Mr. Mustafa Khan who is an integral part of bringing Cricket to Compton and has been working for many years introducing the game to Southern California. Compton Council Woman Zurita was present for the first game and got to see the wonderful experience the children had watching and playing cricket.
