Central Station - Male juvenile shot while standing in his front yard in Grand Terrace

SUSPECT(S): African American Male, last seen wearing a hoody
VICTIM(S): Confidential - 13 year old Male Juvenile
SUMMARY: On Tuesday, November 17, 2015, deputies from the Central Station responded to a report of a shooting. The reporting party was requesting medical attention for an injured juvenile. The deputies arrived within minutes of receiving the call and a juvenile was located in the front yard of the residence with multiple gunshot wounds. Fire Personnel and medical aid arrived a short time later and transported the victim to a local hospital. The victim was listed in stable condition and will require surgery.
Prior to the shooting, the victim was in the front yard of the residence waiting to meet with someone. A gold colored sedan drove passed the victim and the passenger of that vehicle opened fire. More than a dozen rounds were fired. The suspect vehicle fled the area west bound on Vivienda Ave.
Two additional occupied homes and one vehicle in the area were struck by bullets fired during the shooting. However, nobody else was injured.
The investigation into this incident is continuing, unfortunately at this time investigators have few leads. Sheriff’s investigators are asking for the public’s help in solving this crime.
