Two Arrested for Meth After Search Warrant in Henry County

New Castle-This morning around 12:17 a.m. members of the Pendleton District Meth Suppression Unit served a search warrant at a residence at 1408 S. 23rd St. in New Castle, IN as part of an ongoing investigation into the manufacture of methamphetamine.

Arrested at the home as a result of that warrant was Robert Lee Robinson, age 30, and Ashley Nicole Lawson, age 27.  Both are charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine, a Level 5 Felony, Possession of Precursors, a Level 6 Felony, Possession of Methamphetamine a Level 6 Felony, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, a Level 6 Felony, Possession of a Hypodermic Needle or Syringe, a Level 6 Felony, and Possession of Marijuana under 30 grams, a Class B Misdemeanor.

Meth Suppression Troopers were assisted in the investigation by the Shirley Police Department K-9 Unit; New Castle Police Department; and Henry County Prosecutor Joe Bergacs.

Often times meth labs are found as a result of an anonymous tip. Anyone with information about illegal drug use may call the Pendleton Post at 1-800-527-4752, or the Indiana State Police Drug Tip Line at 1-800-453-4756.  Tips can be made and kept anonymous.

The Indiana Meth Investigation System, or IMIS, can also take tips on meth labs.  Just go to www.meth.in.gov and click on the "Report Suspected Meth Activity" Link.  Also available on the meth site is information regarding meth statistics, meth lab cleanup, educational videos and materials about meth manufacturing and addiction.
