Castaic and Val Verde, Zone 2, Public Safety and Crime Prevention Information for the week of 11/2/2015 to 11/8/2015.

The following crime were reported in Zone 2, Castaic/Val Verde.

A residential burglary was reported from the 32000 block of The Old Road.  A Sony 47” TV, Lenovo laptop and X-Box One were stolen.  The crime occurred on 11-03 between 7:00 am and 10:00 pm.  The victim believes she knows the suspect.      

A commercial burglary occurred from the 31000 block of Castaic Road.  The suspects broke in through the drive-through window of El Polo Loco.  L.A.S.D. “Major Crimes” unit made an arrest of multiple suspects who they believe are connected with numerous similar burglaries. 

A theft was reported from the 29000 block of Cambridge Avenue.  The home owner reported serval “Susan B. Anthony” coins, a 40 caliber Beretta semi-automatic handgun a miscellaneous US currency stolen from their home between 9-26 and 11-01.  The victim believes the suspect is a known associate.

 A theft from a vehicle was reported from the 29000 block of Teasdale Place.  A trunk mounted CD changer was stolen from the locked car in the early morning hours on 11-05-15   

A theft from an unlocked vehicle was reported from the 25000 block of The Old Road.  A bag of clothing was taken from the vehicle in the early morning hours of 11-06-15. 

A theft was reported from the 32000 block of Castaic Road.  A high voltage electrical cord was taken from a storage yard.  The crime occurred between 11-05 and 11-07.

A mail theft was reported from the 27000 block of Amethyst Way.  A vehicle “diagnostic” scanner was taken out of a delivered package.  The crime occurred on 11-06 between 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm. 

A theft was reported from the 31000 block of Ridge Route Road.  A suspect was arrested for having stolen license plates on his vehicle.  The plates were reported stolen by a local resident.
