Man charged with passing check he stole from parents 
Detective Lynn Greene of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Brandon Chase Jones, 30, of Old Linville Road in Marion, with felony forgery.
It was reported on Oct. 26 that Jones passed a stolen check for $450 to the owner of Woodlawn Motel to pay his rent.
The check had been taken from Greg and Wanda Jones, who are Chase’s parents.
