The crash on I-70 west bound at the 127 mile marker in Henry County involved eight commercial motor vehicles and five passenger cars. There has now been one confirmed fatality. 

I-70 west bound will remain closed with traffic being diverted off at the 137 mile marker onto SR1, south to US 40, then west to SR 3, then north back to I-70.

It will take hours for crews to clean up the scene and for investigators to sort out the events of the crash. Motorists using I-70 west bound from the Ohio-Indiana border should seek alternate routes.
