On November 12, 2015 at approximately 0255 hours, deputies from the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office responded to Memorial Hospital to contact an assault victim. The victim reported while walking in the vicinity of West Avenue at Hearn Avenue he was accosted by another male. After a brief verbal exchange, the victim and male suspect became involved in a physical altercation.

During the altercation, the suspect produced a knife and he stabbed the victim multiple times about the arm, hand, and neck. The suspect left the area of the assault in a white SUV. The victim was transported to Memorial Hospital by private vehicle and he was medically treated.

Detectives from the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Investigation unit are currently conducting a follow-up investigation into this incident.
