Our department taken reports this morning regarding people receiving phone calls from the IRS out of Seattle WA. During these phone calls the people are told they are behind in their taxes and an arrest warrant will be issued if they do not pay "X" number of dollars. THIS IS A SCAM. Do NOT give out any personal or banking information to people who ask you for your personal information. Unfortunately these types of scammers are very hard to track down due to the technology used to spoof phone numbers. It is likely they are calling from a different state or even country. Please be cautious when giving out personal or banking information.
