Deputies are searching for witnesses who may have seen a shooting at "La Consentida" Bar in Muscoy this weekend

INCIDENT: Assault with a Deadly Weapon
LOCATION: 1930 W. Highland Ave. Muscoy (La Consentida Bar)
SUSPECT(S): Hispanic Male Adult/Shaved Head/Heavy Build
SUSPECT VEHICLE: Vehicle #1- Late 1990’s White Ford Mustang OR POSSIBLY A
Vehicle #2- Mid 2000’s White Cadillac Sedan
VICTIM(S): Confidential Male Adult
SUMMARY:
On Saturday, November 7, 2015, County Deputies from Sheriff’s Central Station responded to the report of shots heard at the La Consentida Bar in Muscoy. While responding to the location, deputies learned through dispatch that an unknown male had been shot and was lying in the parking lot of the business next to the bar. Upon arrival, deputies located the subject lying on the driveway of the adjacent business and determined he had been shot. Fire personnel were already on scene and providing medical aid, the victim was transported to a local area hospital for treatment. Upon arrival at the hospital, the victim was immediately taken into surgery and is listed in critical condition.
Deputies on scene learned that the victim and a male family member had been drinking at the bar just prior to the incident. For an unknown reason, several unknown subjects began assaulting the victim’s family member and the victim intervened. The subjects immediately turned their attention to the victim and began assaulting him. At some point during the fight, a Hispanic male adult was said to have produced an unknown caliber handgun and shot the victim. All the subjects involved as well as the suspect fled the location prior to the arrival of deputies. The subjects and suspect were last seen westbound on Highland Ave in the described Ford Mustang and/or the Cadillac Sedan. Investigators have been unable to locate any direct witnesses to the incident.
The investigation is continuing, unfortunately at this time investigators have few leads. Sheriff’s investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the subjects/suspect involved.
