A couple is arrested for assault on a police officer with a weapon and indecent exposure

Emanuel Olivares, 24 years old, Grand Terrace
VICTIM: Deputy Sheriff
SUMMARY:
On Thursday, November 5, 2015, at approximately 3:45 PM, residents in the area reported a male and female having sex in the back seat of a vehicle, while parked on a busy street with children walking home from school. A deputy from the Central Station assigned to Grand Terrace responded and located the vehicle with the two subjects. The deputy asked them to get dressed and handcuffed them both behind their back. As the deputy was detaining Olivares, Caraveo slipped her handcuffs from the rear to the front and jumped in her vehicle. Caraveo put the vehicle in gear and accelerated towards the deputy. The deputy sustained a cut to his left hand that required several stitches. Caraveo was located at her home in Bloomington and taken into custody without further incident. She was charged with assault on a police officer with a weapon, escape and indecent exposure. Olivares was charged with indecent exposure and obstructing an officer.
