Kevin Dalton, of Marion, charged with violating a domestic violence protection order 
Lt. David Marler of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Kevin Ernest Dalton, 50, of U.S. 70 West in Marion, with felony violation of a domestic violence protection order.
On Friday, Oct. 27, deputies were called to 193 Circle Drive in Marion in reference to Dalton making threats.
There is an active domestic violence protection order that prohibits Dalton from being on the property, which is occupied by his mother, Margie Dalton.
The DVO was issued by a District Court judge on Feb. 20, 2015 and expires on Feb. 20, 2016.
This is Dalton’s third offense, which increases the charge from a misdemeanor to a felony.
