HCSO Investigators Seek Identity In Shooting Of Detention Officer.

(Harris County, TX)- On Monday, November 2nd, 2015, a Harris County Sheriff’s Office detention officer was at his residence in the 100 block of Hollow Tree Ln in North Harris County.

At around 11:50 pm the detention officer observed four Hispanic males burglarizing his vehicle. The Detention Officer armed with a pistol approached the males. The suspects ran to a Chevrolet Avalanche and attempted to leave the property.

The suspects were stopped by an exit gate. As the detention officer walked toward the vehicle, a suspect fired multiple times at him, striking him several times.

The vehicle then fled the property, driving south on interstate 45.
The detention officer was transported to an area hospital, where he remains in good condition.

The vehicle was recovered in north east Houston, after the suspects attempted to burn it.

A composite sketch was obtained and is attached to the release.
