Full Notification

The City of Sheboygan, Department of Public Works, will be partially closing the intersection of South Taylor Drive and Washington Avenue to perform road maintenance on Thursday, November 12, 2015.  This closure will take place from 4:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  East and west bound traffic on Washington Avenue and north bound traffic on South Taylor Drive will be restricted or closed.  Please refer to the attached map. 

Motorists traveling on Interstate 43 that normally use Exit 123 to access South Taylor Drive via Wisconsin Highway 28 are encouraged to use Exit 126 or Exit 120.

Locations north of Washington Avenue on South Taylor Drive can be accessed by exiting onto South Taylor Drive via Wisconsin Highway 23 using Exit 126.

Locations south of Washington Avenue on South Taylor Drive can be accessed by exiting onto County Road V (South Business Drive) using Exit 120 and proceeding north to Weeden Creek Road and Weeden Creek Road west to South Taylor Drive.   

West Bound Traffic on Washington Avenue

Motorists traveling west bound on Washington Avenue will not be able to travel south onto South Taylor Drive or west through South Taylor Drive.  Motorists should follow detour signs to South 32nd Street and proceed north to Crocker Avenue.  From Crocker Avenue motorists should proceed west where they will rejoin South Taylor Drive.  At this location motorists will be able to continue north bound on South Taylor Drive or south bound on South Taylor Drive and will be able to rejoin west bound traffic on Washington Avenue.    

East Bound Traffic on Washington Avenue

Motorists traveling east bound on Washington Avenue will not be allowed to turn north onto South Taylor Drive.  Motorists should follow detour signs to South 32nd Street and proceed north to Crocker Avenue.  From Crocker Avenue motorists should proceed west where they will rejoin South Taylor Drive.  At this location motorists will be able to continue north bound on South Taylor Drive.   

North Bound Traffic on South Taylor Drive

Motorists traveling north bound on South Taylor Drive will be directed to travel east on Washington Avenue.  Motorists should follow detour signs to South 32nd Street and proceed north to Crocker Avenue.  From Crocker Avenue motorists should proceed west where they will rejoin South Taylor Drive and will be able to travel north or south bound on South Taylor Drive.  From South Taylor Drive motorists will be able to travel south bound back to west bound on Washington Avenue.
