The Montebello Police Department is pleased to announce the addition of three Traffic Calming Measure Devices throughout the City. 
The Montebello Police Department is pleased to announce that we have added three Traffic Calming Measure Devices throughout the City. This project was a response to concerns from residents regarding speeding vehicles. The devices were purchased with asset forfeiture funds (restricted funds from the Department of Justice) and have no impact on the General Fund.
The project was completed on November 2nd, 2015, with the help of the Street Department, particularly Director Danilo Batson.
When an approaching vehicle is traveling over the posted speed limit, the speed limit will “blink” - followed by a message to “Slow Down.”
The purpose of the signs is to make drivers aware of the speed limit and deter operating a motor vehicle over the posted speed limit.

2. 400 Block of North Garfield Avenue
3. 1800 Block of West Lincoln Avenue
