Theft Arrest
(Etowah County, Alabama) A Marshall County man was arrested and charged in connection to a recent theft of property in Etowah County, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.
“James David Mooney, Jr., 37, of Albertville, was arrested and is charged with one count of first degree theft of property and one count of first degree receiving stolen property, both are felonies,” investigator Tara Bates said.
Mooney was found by deputies, near Rockledge Road and Highway 431, trying to load a vehicle onto a trailer. Deputies were responding to the area after receiving a report of suspicious activity. Mooney was also in possession of a stolen four-wheeler that had been taken from Shady Grove Road.
Mooney was booked into the Etowah County Detention Center and later released on a $10,000 bond.
