Greentown Woman Dies in Howard County Crash

Greentown – Today at approximately 6:00 p.m., officers from the Indiana State Police and the Howard County Sheriff’s Department responded to a two vehicle crash on State Road 22 at County Road 700 East, in which a Greentown, IN woman died.

The preliminary crash investigation by Indiana State Police Troopers Jeremy Perez and Michael Biggs revealed that Geraldine Brady, 86, Greentown, IN was driving a 2000 Buick Century northbound on County Road 700 East. After stopping for a stop sign at the intersection of State Road 22, Brady allegedly pulled into the path of an eastbound 2010 Ford Fusion. The Ford was driven by Eric Hall, 42, Greentown, IN. The Buick was hit in the driver’s side door. Early evidence indicates that the Ford did not haves its headlights activated while traveling on the dark road.

Brady was pronounced dead at the crash scene. Jamison Gunn, 20, Greentown, IN, a passenger in the Buick, was transported to a Kokomo hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Hall was also transported to a Kokomo hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing, but neither the use of alcohol nor narcotics is suspected as having contributed to the crash.
