Flash Flood Warning for Clayton County. Click link for more information. Sheriff Victor Hill.

Clayton County Fire Chief and EMA Director, Landry Merkison advises:


The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a flash flood warning for Clayton County beginning tomorrow, November 3 at 10:00 am to Wednesday, November 4 at 9:30 am.
(Please see the graphic below for the area of concern.)


A warning means flash flooding is imminent.



The areas of concern include the Flint River from HJAIA south to the water treatment plant at North Bridge Road. As well as, streams and tributaries that may be out of their banks over the next 24-36 hours.


TODAY:
​With periods of heavy rain throughout the day today, you may encounter standing or rushing water in low lying areas. Please take all precautions and avoid those areas if possible. ​If you see standing water remember "TURN AROUND DON'T DROWN". Please report any water hazards to 911 as soon as possible.
