Sonoma County Sheriff Coroner’s Office is releasing the name of the person who was discovered deceased inside a crashed vehicle on the morning of October 28, 2015 on West Dry Creek Road near Yoakim Bridge Road, outside of Geyersville, in the unincorporated area of Sonoma County.
The deceased is identified as Eugene Buchignani, a 70 year old man from Healdsburg. His family was located and informed of his death.
The Sonoma County Coroner’s Office will schedule a forensic pathologist to conduct an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of Buchignani’s death.
The California Highway Patrol is conducting the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the vehicle collision. Any inquiries regarding the crash should be directed to that agency.
