On October 26, 2015 Officers’ were dispatched to the James Buchanan High School for a reported assault. Investigation showed a 14 year old male student had brought three knifes to school with him. At about 9:00 the juvenile suspect began to attack another 14 year old male student, stabbing him the abdomen and attempting to slit his throat. The suspect was subdued by school officials and subsequently taken into police custody. The juvenile has been charged with the following offenses:

1. Criminal Attempt Homicide
2. Aggravated Assault
3. Possession of a Weapon on School Property (3) Counts.

The victim was treated at the Chambersburg Hospital for a stab wound to his abdomen and released. The juvenile was turned over to the Franklin County Juvenile Probation Department, where he was lodged in a secured facility waiting further court action.
