Chemical Endangerment Arrest
(Etowah County, Alabama) A Rainbow City woman has been arrested for chemical endangerment of a child, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.
"Tayla Renae Howard, 27, of Rainbow City, was arrested and charged with chemical endangerment of exposing a child to an environment in which controlled substances are ingested, produced or distributed, which is a felony,” investigator Brandi Fuller said.
Howard, knowing she was pregnant, admitted to using Percocet (Oxycodone), Klonopin (Benzodiazepine) and also tested positive for methamphetamine.
She is currently being detained in the Etowah County Detention Center on $10,000 bond. Upon release, Howard will be supervised by Etowah County Community Corrections and must successfully complete a treatment program.
