Suspect vehicle and alleged driver of the vehicle of the fatal hit and run of pedestrian in Bensenville has been identified.

The Bensenville Police Department has identified the suspect vehicle and alleged driver of the vehicle of the fatal hit and run pedestrian crash that occurred on October 23, 2015 at about 7:30 AM on the 1000 block of West Irving Park Road. This morning at about 7:15 AM, investigators observed a vehicle matching the description of the offending vehicle at the Dunkin’ Donuts where the incident had occurred. The driver and vehicle were brought to the station where the driver was interviewed and released.
Charges are pending further investigation. The identity of the driver and other information is being withheld at this time in order not to compromise the ongoing investigation.
