Pizza With The Police:
Building and maintaining community trust is the cornerstone of successful policing and law enforcement. The building and maintenance of trust takes a great deal of continuous effort. Unfortunately, the ethical work of thousands of police officers is easily outdone by the actions of one unethical officer. Often the indictment of one seems like the indictment of all. In short, the integrity of police officers will always dictate the level of community trust.
Starting October 21st the citizens of Norton Shores will have a chance to communicate directly with police officers during their lunch hour. Officers will be available every Wednesday from 12:30 pm-1:30 pm at Greek Tony’s Pizza & Sub at 4543 Grand Haven road. The purpose of this community outreach program is to concentrate on building trust with the citizens of Norton Shores and to be transparent with our actions.
Our goal is to continue to build community trust by interacting with the residents in an informal setting.
